The Asian citrus psyllid arrives in 1998 and huanglongbing is first discovered in Florida in 2005; production falls from a 244 million box orange peak in 1997 to 1998 to about 20 million boxes by 2023 to 2024, and statewide acreage from over 832,000 to about 275,000 [INVSP][CIMHLB][ATLFED][CIM25A][FORT25].
