George Wedgworth charters the cooperative in July 1960 with 54 farmer members because the existing mills would not take more grower volume; its Glades Sugar House opens 22 November 1962 [WSCGC][FPGW]. The cooperative becomes co owner of American Sugar Refining from the 1998 Yonkers purchase [WSCGC][ASRH].
